You may have heard about the state of Georgia's new "Fetal Heartbeat Bill" abortion law, that bans abortions after the point that heartbeat can be detected. This point is around the 6-week mark.

Pro-life advocates are very much in favour of this bill, but pro-choice advocates find this to be a violation of women's reproductive rights, and that it will lead to many unsafe and illegal abortions.

Under this controversial bill, women who seek abortions or miscarry would be liable for second-degree murder as the fetus would be considered a full-fledged human being with full 14th Amendment rights.
