POLL: Is the Thai soccer coach at fault?

please select one answer

By now you've probably heard the incredible story of the Thai youth soccer team and their coach, who was trapped in Northern Thailand's Tham Luang cave since June.

The Wild Boars youth soccer team, and their coach, 25-year old Ekkapol Ake Chantawong, became trapped in a cave on June 23rd. The team was trapped in the cave by heavy monsoon rains. On July 2nd, British divers found the boys, aged 11 to 16, on a rocky ledge 4 km inside the cave.

The entire team and the coach were rescued as of yesterday. On July 6th, an experienced former Thai Navy SEAL died from lack of air while trying to deliver oxygen tanks inside the cave.

Many people are now criticizing the coach for leading the team into the "dangerous, forbidden network of underground tunnels, known to flood at this time of year". The parents of the players are praising him as a hero for keeping their boys alive.

Thai law enforcement officials have not ruled out criminal charges against the coach for bringing them into the cave.

Do you think he is to blame?
